Description
Jesus made His triumphant entry into Jerusalem on what we now celebrate as “Palm Sunday.” The people laid down palm branches and their garments in the road before Jesus riding in on a donkey. This was the customary way they would honor a King, and they shouted, “Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.” The Pharisees grew jealous of Jesus receiving praise instead of them, and told Jesus to tell his disciples to shut up, but Jesus said, “I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.” We were made to give praise to our Lord: I don’t want a rock taking my place!
